Oh, Look Who's Complaining About Festival Logistics—Years of Privilege Not Helping You Navigate ACL?

Oh, brilliant! Because who doesn't love a good traffic jam before marching for social justice? Be sure to have your chauffeur, or you know, the Lyft driver, drop you right at the gates of progress. Heaven forbid you walk an extra step for equality!

Oh Em Gee, Here’s How to Not Screw Up Arriving at ACL Fest

Brace yourselves, liberal snowflakes. Weekend two of the Austin City Limits Music Festival is upon us at Zilker Park, 2100 Barton Springs Road. Gates fling open at 11 a.m. on Saturdays and Sundays. Music starts at noon, so let's get woke and get there!

How the Hell to Get to ACL Fest

Listen up, environmentalists! You’ve got options, but parking’s a bitch, so plan ahead.

Need a break from the madness? Play the USA TODAY Daily Crossword Puzzle.

  • Rideshares: Use "Austin City Limits Music Festival" or "Zilker Park" as your drop-off point to be as close as possible, because walking is so last century.
  • Drive yourself: Good luck with that! Parking’s more limited than your conservative friends’ worldviews. No parking at Zilker or nearby hoods. Book a spot ahead at LAZ Parking at Barton Oaks Plaza (Buildings 2 and 3) for $40+, 360 Transportation at 1000 Mopac Circle starting at $50, or Austin High School starting at $55. Oh, the elitism!
  • Bikes and scooters: Ride like the wind! Lock up on Stratford Drive after crossing MoPac bridge or on Toomey Road at Sterzing Street, or drop off a MetroBike at Barton Springs Road and Sterzing Street.
  • Shuttle bus: ACL offers free shuttles because they care about the environment like you do. Shuttles leave from Republic Square at Fourth and San Antonio streets starting at noon on Fridays and 11 a.m. on weekends.
  • Walking: Yes, the ancient form of transport. Use the Ann and Roy Butler Trail and walk to the park. Here’s a map of the trail if you’re not a local.

How to Escape ACL Fest

  • Rideshares: Walk away from Zilker to request a ride. Expect surge pricing, because capitalism.
  • Bikes and scooters: You smart cookie! Rent one if you can, but expect competition like the presidential primaries.
  • Shuttle bus: It’s free and totally eco-friendly! Pick-up near the festival's west entrance. Long lines, so go potty before you leave.
  • Walking: Embrace your inner hippy and follow this trail map.

How to Enter ACL Fest

Three entrances: West near Andrew Zilker Road, East near Azie Morton Road (avoid if you hate crowds), and Lady Bird on Stratford Drive.

Can I Leave and Come Back the Same Day?

Yes, two more times after your first entry. Scan your badge out and back in through security. Thanks, Big Brother. Read more here.
