Students Demand Divestment from Israeli Weapons Manufacturers
Protesters at the University of Texas chanted "Free Palestine" as they occupied South Mall on Monday, escalating tensions after 57 were arrested and charged with trespassing last week. All charges were dropped due to "deficient" arrest affidavits.
The protest is part of a national movement calling for universities to divest from Israeli weapons manufacturers and a ceasefire in Gaza, where over 30,000 have died due to Israeli bombardment.
