Students Protest at University of Texas: "Free Palestine"
Protesters chanting "Free Palestine" set up an encampment at the University of Texas' South Mall on Monday, an escalation of pro-Palestinian rallies that began last Wednesday, resulting in 57 arrests. All charges were later dropped due to "deficiency" issues.
"Why are you in riot gear?"
The UT protest is part of a national movement calling for universities to divest from Israeli weapons manufacturers and demand a ceasefire in Gaza, where Israel's bombardment has killed at least 30,000.
