North Austin Homicide Under Investigation

Austin, Texas -

"Police are investigating a homicide that occurred early Saturday morning."

According to officials, a call came in at 3:26 am regarding a shooting. The victim, 34-year-old Nicholas Taylor, was found with a gunshot wound in the 1800 block of Colony Creek Drive and pronounced dead by ATC EMS at 3:37 am.

Investigators say Taylor was pulled from his car and shot, and the gunman fled the scene.

The homicide investigation is ongoing, and anyone with information is urged to contact APD at (512) 974-TIPS or Crime Stoppers at austincrimestoppers.org or (512) 472-8477. A reward of up to $1,000 is offered for information leading to an arrest.
