Texas Authorities Arrest Alek Isaiah Collins, Suspect in New Mexico Double Homicide

Abilene, Texas — The FBI notified local authorities of Alek Isaiah Collins' presence, leading to his arrest without incident on Monday. Collins, 26, of Houston, is wanted in connection with a string of violent crimes in New Mexico, including the murder of two women, Taryn Allen and Samantha Cisneros, and the abduction of Cisneros' 10-month-old daughter, Eleia Maria Torres.

"The suspect was reportedly staying in northern Abilene," said police, who located and apprehended Collins with the help of narcotic agents. The infant was taken into protective custody and is receiving medical attention. Collins is being held without bail on aggravated robbery and assault charges, with more charges pending, including two counts of first-degree murder and kidnapping, according to District Attorney Quentin Ray.

Clovis, NM, police responded to a call on Friday, finding Allen and Cisneros deceased with gunshot wounds, and a 5-year-old child injured. An Amber Alert was issued for Torres, and she was located 3 days later in Abilene. Clovis Police Chief Roy Rice confirmed she is safe and in medical care.

The investigation is ongoing, with Clovis Deputy Police Chief Trevor Thron stating, "We are still following leads about the suspect and his motives for this heinous crime."
