On Sunday, the USC Trojans beach volleyball team defeated UCLA to claim the NCAA championship.

This win marks a historic moment for Phillips, becoming the first player to win national championships in both indoor and beach volleyball, per the NCAA.

Phillips, a graduate transfer from the University of Texas, spent five seasons with the Longhorns' indoor team, winning back-to-back national championships in 2022 and 2023. Standing at 6'5", her impact this season is evident in her 8-0 record in spring matches and her fall stats of 1.56 kills and 0.82 blocks per set.
