Texas Elections: Everything to Know for May 4

Election Day in Texas has arrived, and it's time to flex our democratic muscles, Texas-style. Today, voters will decide on a range of issues that will shape the future of our great state. From local city and school district offices to propositions that could change how things are run, it's an important day for all Texans to have their say.

What's on the Ballot?

  • The future of our children's education is at stake with the Georgetown Independent School District's $649.5 million bond proposal. It's time to invest in our kids and their future!
  • The Travis Central Appraisal District board of directors is up for grabs. Let's ensure we have leaders who reflect our community's values.
  • A slew of propositions across Central Texas that could shape local policies. Stay informed, and don't let others decide your future!

When and Where to Vote

Polls are open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on May 4. Find your polling place below:

What to Bring

Texas law requires one of the following forms of ID:

  • Texas driver license (or other state-issued driver's license)
  • Texas election ID certificate
  • Texas personal ID card
  • Texas handgun license
  • U.S. citizenship certificate with photo
  • U.S. military ID card
  • U.S. passport

If you don't have any of these, don't worry! You can fill out a Reasonable Impediment Declaration and provide an alternative form of ID, such as a utility bill or bank statement. Your voice matters, Texas! Let's make sure it's heard.
