Alamo Drafthouse Abruptly Shuts Down All Five Dallas-Fort Worth Locations

Alamo Drafthouse franchise operator, Two Is One, One is None LLC, has filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy, abruptly closing all five of its North Texas locations: Cedars, Denton, Lake Highlands, Las Colinas, and Richardson.

In a statement, the cinema company said:

"This means that for the time being, all of the DFW area Alamo Drafthouses will be closed. Rest assured that we are hard at work coming up with a solution to get Alamo Drafthouse back in DFW."

The franchise partner cited poor “industry-wide economic performance” as the reason for the closures. No other Texas locations are affected.
