Trump's boasts about Putin and Mexico recalled

A reader responds to commentaries on evangelical Christians and immigrants, and clean energy, and also to Trump's response to hostage talks.

"I commend Republicans who don't demean immigrants or trash the planet. But they are few, and their peers would brand them RINOs. Come November, will socially-conscious conservatives vote for Ted Cruz and Donald Trump?"

On Trump's hostage talks with Russia, he boasts, "Biden likes to pay massive numbers. We will be paying nothing." Was this like his border wall promise, where Mexico would pay?
