Johnson & Johnson to Pay $700 Million in Baby Powder Settlement, Texas Gets $61.5 Million

Texas will receive $61.5 million as part of a [$700 million nationwide settlement] against Johnson & Johnson, Attorney General Ken Paxton announced. The settlement resolves allegations that the company misled customers about the safety of its baby powder products containing talc. Johnson & Johnson has also agreed to stop producing and selling these products in the U.S.
