On Tuesday, two camels from a petting zoo at an Ohio amusement park broke free, leading to an unexpected camel parade.

According to Fox19 [link: https://www.fox19.com/good-news/camel-escape-cedar-point], the camels escaped their enclosure at Cedar Point's "The Barnyard" and wandered up and down the walkway near the Millennium Force rollercoaster.

Videos of the duo quickly went viral, showing them casually strolling across the park, greeting riders, and narrowly avoiding kicking a person in a motorized wheelchair. Fortunately, no one was hurt during this dromedary excursion, as reported by the Cincinnati Enquirer [link: https://www.cincinnati.com/story/news/2023/07/11/camels-escape-cedar-point-barnyard-amusement-park-sandusky/11979721/], part of USA TODAY.

"[The camels] were quickly returned home after their brief escape. [...] Park officials called the stroll 'unprecedented,' and they are currently investigating how the camels escaped."

Cedar Point, located in Sandusky, boasts 18 roller coasters, a water park, a beach, thrill rides, attractions, and live entertainment. "The Barnyard" [link: https://www.cedarpoint.com/rides-experiences/the-barnyard] is an interactive animal experience, where visitors can interact with goats, sheep, pigs, ducks, turtles, and donkeys.
