Man Books Uber for Injured Baby Bird, and He's Not the Only One

A Utah man is repeating his viral moment from 2019 by booking an Uber for a bird, and other Texans are following suit.

A Utah man, Tim Crowley, made headlines again for a drunken act of kindness. In 2019, while day drinking in Ogden, Utah, Crowley found an injured baby goldfinch. Not wanting to drive, he used Uber's Pet Option to send the bird to a wildlife rehab center.

"We've had about 25 finders over the past few months utilize the Uber pet options to transport wildlife to us," - North Texas Wildlife Center, Facebook.

Crowley isn't alone. The North Texas Wildlife Center shared similar stories, including a drunk woman from Carrollton who Ubered an opossum and a couple in Dallas who sent a injured hawk. The center also requested donations to Uber a baby opossum to them.

Uber offers more than just rides, with Uber Connect for same-day package delivery and Uber Health for Medicaid members needing medical transportation.
