Texas Pastor Steps Down After Admitting to Unnamed 'Sin'

Dr. Tony Evans #, the prominent evangelical leader and founder of Oak Cliff Bible Fellowship in Dallas, Texas, has stepped down from his role as senior pastor due to an undisclosed "sin." In a statement, Evans said:

"A number of years ago, I fell short of that standard [set by the Word of God]. I am, therefore, required to apply the same biblical standard of repentance and restoration to myself that I have applied to others."

Details and Accountability

While Evans admitted that he "did not use righteous judgement in [his] actions," he also stated he has "committed no crime."
