Dinesh D'Souza's book and film "2,000 Mules" claimed widespread voter fraud by "mules" illegally depositing ballots. The movie was popular on the right. It was debunked by journalists.

Salem Media Group Inc. issued an apology and settled with voter Mark Andrews, falsely accused in the film. This is the latest in a string of legal losses for those spreading 2020 election falsehoods:

1) Gateway Pundit declared bankruptcy amid defamation lawsuits

The website is facing lawsuits from Georgia election workers and a Dominion Voting Systems executive, accusing the site of defamation.

2) MyPillow CEO Mike Lindell ordered to pay $5 million

Lindell offered a reward to anyone disproving his false election fraud claims. He lost and owes $5 million. He also faces lawsuits from Dominion and Smartmatic.

3) Fox News settled a defamation suit with Dominion for $787.5 million

Dominion sued Fox for broadcasting false claims, and Fox settled before the trial. Fox is now being sued by Oregon and New York City pension funds.

4) One America News Network settled lawsuits over election falsehoods

OANN settled lawsuits with Smartmatic and Georgia election workers for spreading false claims, and issued an on-air correction.

5) Rudy Giuliani ordered to pay $146 million over defamation claims

Giuliani was ordered to pay $148 million to Georgia election workers. He filed for bankruptcy the next day, citing multiple lawsuits, including one from the workers.

6) James O'Keefe and Project Veritas settled a lawsuit over election falsehoods

Project Veritas spread false claims about Pennsylvania postal worker Robert Weisenbach, later admitting there was "no evidence" and settling the case.

7) Sidney Powell faced sanctions and fines for spreading election lies

Courts ordered Powell and other lawyers to pay legal fees for a conspiracy theory-filled lawsuit seeking to overturn the 2020 election. Powell pleaded guilty to election interference in Georgia and faces more lawsuits.

8) Newsmax settled a defamation lawsuit with a former Dominion employee

Newsmax apologized and settled with Eric Coomer after amplifying false claims about him manipulating votes. Dominion and Smartmatic's lawsuits against Newsmax continue.
