Consumers Plan to Celebrate Fathers This Year:
This Sunday is Father's Day, and it's a big deal for the 72 million fathers across the U.S. Numator reports that 65% of consumers plan to celebrate, with gift-giving being a top priority. Other activities include social gatherings, grilling, and dining out.
History of Father's Day:
While Mother's Day became an official holiday in 1914, it took until 1972 for Father's Day to be recognized officially. This year, there are many deals and specials to take advantage of:
- Hooters: HootClub Rewards members can enjoy a buy-one-get-one deal on wings and a $5 bonus with a $25 gift card purchase.
- Krispy Kreme: A new doughnut collection, including the Blue & White Drizzle and Chocolate Iced Bowtie flavors, is available from June 14-16, with free delivery on a $5 minimum purchase.
