Shooting at pop-up party injures 8 in Methuen, Massachusetts

Methuen police are on the scene of a mass shooting with eight injured—seven from gunshots and one severe head injury.

Eight Injured in Methuen Shooting

A "pop-up" party in Methuen, MA ended with eight people injured from gunfire, including one minor. Two victims are in critical condition. The shooting took place early Sunday, with police responding to 911 calls at 1:55 a.m.

Location: 100 Lindberg Avenue, Methuen, Essex County, MA.

Time: 1:55 a.m. on Sunday.

Details: Police found seven victims with gunshot wounds, and an eighth person sustained serious head injuries while fleeing. The victims, aged 17 to 23, were taken to a local hospital.

Investigation: State Police and Methuen PD are investigating. Officials provided no further details on Sunday. Police have leads but are requesting the public's help in identifying the shooters:

Unrelated Shooting: DA Tucker notes another shooting incident in Lynn, MA Saturday night, where one person was killed. The victim was shot at multiple times while in a car. The Lynn PD and State Police are investigating.
