"I've accepted the fact that this is our norm, to be completely honest. And there are multiple points leading up until the day that I was thinking about what would my exit plan be." – Angela Carroll, shooting survivor, WFAA

According to the Round Rock Police Department, the shooting began at 10:50 p.m., bringing a abrupt end to the free, two-day Juneteenth celebration at Old Settlers Park. The shooting is believed to have occurred after a free concert by rapper Paul Wall.

Two individuals were killed, and 14 bystanders were injured as a result of the shooting. Austin-Travis County Emergency Medical Services transported four adults and two children with potentially serious injuries to local hospitals.

Despite having a operation plan in place, with 22 law enforcement personnel onsite and additional support on standby, the Round Rock police are still searching for the shooter.

Police Chief Allen Banks described the suspect as a 19 or 20-year-old male, standing 5-foot-7 with short dreadlocks, last seen wearing a white hoodie. Anyone with information is urged to contact the police, and a $5,000 reward is being offered by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives for information leading to his arrest.

The identities of those killed have not been released, and most of those injured have been treated and released from the hospital as of Sunday evening.

Round Rock Mayor Craig Morgan called for the community to support each other and the victims during this devastating time.
