Two Killed, 14 Wounded in Shooting at Juneteenth Celebration

Round Rock, TX — Two people have been identified as killed and fourteen wounded in a shooting at a Juneteenth celebration Saturday night. The victims, Lyndsey Vicknair, 33, of Manor, and Ara Duke, 54, of Pflugerville, were not involved in the altercation that preceded the shooting, according to police.

The shooter, described as a young man in his late teens with short dreadlocks, is still at large and considered "armed and dangerous." Police are offering a $5,000 reward for information leading to his arrest.

The two-day event, attended by thousands, was sponsored by a nonprofit, The Voice Inc., and the Round Rock Parks and Recreation Department. Despite an "operations plan" and a significant law enforcement presence, the shooter was able to inflict significant casualties.
