Austin Police Release Photos of Suspects in Fatal Waffle House Shooting

Austin, Texas – The Austin Police Department (APD) has released [surveillance photos](https://www.apd.austintexas.gov/news/imaging/2023/06/26/737759/ suspects_202306261329103933.jpg) and is seeking the public's help in identifying four suspects wanted in connection with a fatal shooting outside a Waffle House restaurant on June 8.

At approximately 6 a.m., police responded to reports of a shooting in the parking lot of the Waffle House located at 12304 Dessau Road. Upon arrival, officers located two female victims suffering from gunshot wounds. Despite life-saving measures, one victim, identified as 22-year-old Tykeisha Lewis, succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced deceased later that day. The other victim, who remains unidentified, was transported to a local hospital and is listed in stable condition.

Witnesses described the suspects as a group of four Hispanic male customers, aged 16 to 20 years old, who had an argument with the victims before the shooting. The suspects fled the scene after the incident.

"This is a tragic and senseless loss of life," said an APD spokesperson. "We are urging anyone with information, no matter how insignificant it may seem, to come forward and help us bring these suspects to justice."

The APD is offering a reward of up to $2,000 for information leading to the arrest of the suspects. Anyone with information is asked to contact the APD at 512-974-TIPS, or submit tips anonymously through the Capital Area Crime Stoppers at austincrimestoppers.org or 512-472-8477.
