Free music: first look at Hot Summer Nights line-up

Hot Summer Nights is back and turning up the heat on downtown Austin.
The Red River Cultural District's free three-night music festival hits the district July 18-20, showcasing the myriad local artists that call this city home. From punk to folk to electronic, Austin's music scene thrives in this district, and Hot Summer Nights celebrates these venues and the artists that make them iconic.
Here's what you need to know:
When: July 18-20, music starts around 7-8 p.m. each night
Where: Various venues in the Red River Cultural District, including:
Special Events:
- Karaoke party
- Night market in partnership with Future Front Texas
- Sunday Gospel brunch at Stubb's
- Daytime fitness and lifestyle programming at Waterloo Park
Performers: Over 100 local artists will take the stage, including:
- Al West
- Alexalone
- Ampersand
- Artless Jab
- Arya
- BB Ding & Hexxxgf
