Tropical Storm Warning Issued for Coastal Texas as System Intensifies

The National Weather Service has issued a tropical storm warning for several areas in Coastal Texas, including Port O'Connor and the mouth of the Rio Grande, as a tropical disturbance in the Gulf of Mexico intensifies. The NHC will likely name this storm "Alberto," the first named storm of the 2024 Atlantic hurricane season, by Wednesday.
