Disney Dream Key Settlement Offers Compensation to Passholders

A $9.5 million settlement from Walt Disney Parks & Resorts is now available to select Magic Key passholders. The company settled a class action lawsuit alleging it "misled consumers about the benefits and restrictions of Dream Key Passes."

"(The plaintiff), and others similarly situated, have not received the benefits of the Dream Key passes that were promised to them," the complaint states. "Instead of receiving a 'no blockout date' pass... Ms. Nielsen and her fellow Dream Key pass holders received a much more limited right to reservations."

The lawsuit, filed in November 2021 by Jenale Nielsen on behalf of ~103,431 Dream Key Pass holders, sought to stop Disney from "unlawful trade practices" and "deceptions" in the sale of the $1,399 passes.

Disney denied wrongdoing but offered $67 to customers who purchased a Dream Key pass between Aug 25 and Oct 25, 2021.
