Tropical Storm Alberto is expected to make landfall in Mexico shortly, bringing heavy rains and gusty winds to the northeastern region of the country. The National Hurricane Center warned of a continued threat through Thursday morning.

At 5 a.m. EDT, Tropical Storm Alberto was located 250 miles south of Brownsville, Texas, moving westward at 13 mph. The storm is expected to continue this motion through Thursday, making landfall over Mexico shortly.
