Austin Pitmaster to Join Netflix's Barbecue Showdown
Kareem El-Ghayesh of KG BBQ, an Austin-based food truck with an Egyptian twist, will spice up the third season of Netflix's "Barbecue Showdown." The show premieres July 4.

El-Ghayesh will compete for a $50,000 prize, facing off against eight other pitmasters, including Texas' own Sloan Rinaldi of Houston's Texas Q.
The show will be hosted by actress and comedian Michelle Buteau, with judges Melissa Cookston and Kevin Bludso deciding the winners.
KG BBQ offers a unique take on classic barbecue, with dishes like brisket shawarma and pomegranate-glazed pork ribs.
