Coast Guard District Seven says the plane had departed from West Palm Beach and was destined for Turks and Caicos.

Two Rescued After Plane Crash in Turks and Caicos

U.S. Coast Guard rescues two people from a downed aircraft off Turks and Caicos Islands

At 12:15 pm on Saturday, the US Coast Guard received a distress call from the Turks and Caicos RCC regarding a crashed aircraft with 2 passengers, 10 miles NW of Providenciale.

The individuals were located by 3:30 pm and airlifted to EMS at the Turks and Caicos Int'l Airport in stable condition.

The plane took off from West Palm Beach, Florida, and the cause of the crash is unknown. The UK CAA is investigating.
