Chicago Woman Missing in the Bahamas

A Chicago Woman, Taylor Casey [41], has gone missing in the Bahamas. The Royal Bahamas Police Force [1] issued a statement via Facebook [1] on Friday asking for the public's help in locating her.

"Casey was last seen on June 19 in the area of Paradise Island in Nassau, Bahamas. [2]" - Royal Bahamas Police Force Facebook Post [1]

Yoga Retreat:

Casey was in the Bahamas for a yoga certification retreat [3], according to a Facebook group [3] set up to assist in the search ("Finding Taylor Casey" [3]). A member of the group, Anna DeShawn [3], posted:

"I’m currently in shock & can't believe I’m making this post. Taylor is such a sweet person who cares so deeply about her community. [3]"

DeShawn also shared that the retreat center notified Casey's family when she didn't show up for class on June 19 [3], and that her family is now preparing to travel to the Bahamas [3].

The Facebook group is rallying support and sending well-wishes to Casey's family:

"We send our love, prayer, and energy to Taylor’s family as they begin their travels. Together, we share strength and resolve to find our beloved Taylor. [3]"
