Cops seek woman's killer in Austin.

Austin police discovered the body of Alyssa Rivera, 34. Her corpse was found in an abandoned house in Southeast Austin. The date was June 21, and detectives are still hunting for her killer.

Austin police search for suspect in fatal shooting of Alyssa Rivera

Austin police are searching for the person who killed 34-year-old Alyssa Rivera last week in an abandoned house in Southeast Austin.

Metcalf Road Murder

At 4 p.m. on June 21, police responded to a call that a body had been discovered in the 2600 block of Metcalf Road. They found Rivera's body in an abandoned house nearby.

As of Tuesday, detectives have not identified a suspect or a motive.

Police encourage anyone with information to call 512-974-TIPS. Anonymous tips can be submitted online at austincrimestoppers.org or by calling 512-472-8477. A $1,000 award is being offered for information leading to an arrest.
