Major League Baseball's Silent Treatment to LGBTQIA+ Communities in Texas

All Major League Baseball (MLB) teams have hosted Pride Nights in support of LGBTQIA+ communities, except one: the Texas Rangers. Even the Houston Astros, the other Texas-based team, held its first annual Pride Game in 2021 and will host again in 2024.

...the team invited local LGBTQIA+ groups to a game as part of a fundraising event. According to the Associated Press, the event was met with some backlash...

Despite this, the Rangers have shown support for the community in other ways. In 2003, they invited local LGBTQIA+ groups to a game for a fundraiser, and in 2022, they sponsored the NAGAAA Gay Softball World Series in Dallas and Waxahachie.
