Loganville, GA - Charles Moore, a former cheer coach in metro Atlanta, is facing sexual exploitation charges, and authorities believe there may be additional victims. Moore worked at multiple local gyms and was a lay coach at Walnut Grove High School. He was arrested on May 27 in Loganville, GA, and charged with sexual exploitation of a minor and furnishing obscene materials to a minor. A 16-year-old victim reported that Moore recorded a video of sexual acts and sent it to her on Snapchat. Authorities are encouraging anyone who may have been victimized by Moore to contact the Loganville Police Department.

A former Georgia cheer coach is facing sexual exploitation charges, and authorities believe there may be more victims. Charles Moore, who worked at multiple local gyms in metro Atlanta, was arrested on May 27 in Loganville, GA, about 36 miles northeast of Atlanta. He is charged with sexual exploitation of a minor and furnishing obscene materials to a minor, according to the Loganville Police Department.
The investigation began when the Walton County Sheriff’s Office reached out to Loganville police in February regarding an inappropriate relationship between a student at Walnut Grove High School and a man in his 30s. A subsequent investigation led to the discovery of a video of a 16-year-old girl engaging in sexual acts with an unknown male. The victim confirmed it was her in the video, along with Moore. She told authorities that Moore recorded the video in his car and sent it to her via Snapchat between Dec. 26, 2023, and Feb. 23.
Moore was a lay coach for the Walnut Grove High School competition cheerleaders from fall 2022 to January 2023. A spokesperson for the Walton County School District stated that Moore's tenure ended after "allegations of misconduct and [his] arrest in December 2023." They also noted that his departure was not related to the current allegations and that the alleged incident did not occur on school property.
As the investigation continues, authorities are concerned there may be more victims. Anyone with information or who may have been victimized by Moore is encouraged to contact the Loganville Police Department.
