Rep. Cori Bush Trails Opponent Wesley Bell by One Point in New Poll

Missouri's 1st District representative is now trailing her opponent by one point according to a new poll, which could spell trouble as her fellow "Squad" member, Rep. Jamaal Bowman, was recently ousted from his seat in NY.

A poll by The Mellman Group shows St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorney Wesley Bell leading Rep. Cori Bush 43% to 42%, with a margin of error of +/- 4.9%. The poll, conducted between June 18-22, indicates Bell has gained ground across various demographics, including whites, Blacks, men, women, and those under/over 50.

Bell also boasts higher favorable job performance ratings, with 61% approving compared to Bush's 49%. In terms of personal favorability, Bell leads at 64% to Bush's 60%. With the margin of error, the race is effectively tied, but it's clear Bush is facing a tough challenge, especially in light of recent losses by progressive "Squad" members.
