Hooters Shutters 44 Restaurants, Cites "Current Market Conditions"

At least 44 Hooters locations have permanently closed their doors, with the company citing "pressure from current market conditions" in a statement released Monday.

Hooters has seen a 12% decrease in restaurant numbers since 2018, according to Nations Restaurant News. With 293 restaurants at the end of 2023, the company continues to push forward with new locations and frozen food products in grocery stores.
