Irving, Texas Chick-Fil-A Shooting Leaves Two Dead; Suspect Arrested

IRVING, Texas — The Irving Police Department has arrested a suspect in connection with a double homicide that occurred on Wednesday afternoon inside a Chick-Fil-A restaurant.

Shooting at Irving Chick-Fil-A

Irving police responded to reports of a shooting at a Chick-fil-A located in the 5300 block of North MacArthur Boulevard on Wednesday around 3:50 p.m.

Upon their arrival, police located two individuals who had been shot and killed. The names of the victims have not been released.

The suspect

Oved Bernardo Mendoza Argueta, 37, was arrested and booked into the Irving jail early Thursday morning around 3 a.m.

"Police say Argueta fled the scene before officers arrived. He was last seen driving a silver 1997 Honda four-door car with the license plate number GVH-6205" - WFAA

Police believe this was a targeted attack and that the shooting took place inside the restaurant.

Argueta has been charged with capital murder.
