Foppen Seafood recalls Norwegian Salmon due to Listeria risk; Contaminated lot no. 412; weight: 8.1 oz.; slice: toast-size.

A #Kroger sold salmon is being recalled due to potential #Listeria contamination. The affected product is Foppen Seafood's 8.1 oz. Norwegian Salmon Slices (lot #412), sold in Kroger and Pay Less stores across 15 states.

Consumers with affected products are urged to dispose of the salmon and not consume it.

Foppen Seafood statement: "We have taken immediate steps to address this isolated incident and are working with Kroger, who owns Pay Less, and the FDA to come to a resolution."

What is Listeria?

Listeria is a bacteria that can contaminate many foods. People who eat those foods can get infected... Pregnant people, newborns, adults 65+, and those with weakened immune systems are most at risk. Symptoms include fever, flu-like symptoms, headache, stiff neck, and confusion.
