Missouri Woman Accused of Spiking Husband's Drink With Poison

A Lebanon, Missouri, woman has been arrested for allegedly spiking her husband's Mountain Dew with herbicide and insecticide, according to the Laclede County Sheriff's Office.

Michelle Peters, [47], is accused of poisoning her husband several times in May and June. The victim became suspicious after feeling ill and set up surveillance, which allegedly captured Peters tampering with his soda.

"The victim began suspecting the soda was being tampered with after feeling ill," said police.

Peters has been charged with first-degree domestic assault and armed criminal action. She is being held without bond at the Laclede County Detention Center.
