According to the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), the lithium-ion batteries in the power banks can overheat, posing a fire risk. The products were sold online between April 2022 and April 2024 for $18 to $55.

Baseus reported 171 instances of overheating, including 132 swollen batteries, 39 fires, 13 burn injuries, and approximately $20,000 in property damage.

Do not throw the power banks away or recycle them with other batteries, the CPSC warns. Consumers should immediately stop using the product and contact Baseus for a full refund with proof of purchase or a $36 cash refund without proof. [https://baseuspowerbankrecall.expertinquiry.com/]
