Austin Man Dies After Bike Accident

AUSTIN — A man died Saturday morning after a bicycle accident on Walnut Creek Trail in East Austin.

"Austin-Travis County EMS responded to a report of a man falling off his bike after passing out and vomiting."

First responders performed CPR at the scene, and "identified serious health issues," before transferring the victim to a nearby medical center, where he was pronounced dead.

The wilderness rescue team and medics were unable to save him.

No further information has been released.
