Chipotle spins gold for Olympians with foil-wrapped burritos.

Chipotle plans to celebrate the Paris Summer Olympics by releasing a special-edition gold foil-wrapped burrito. The promotion will allow customers to order the same burrito or bowl as select U.S. Olympic athletes.

Chipotle Celebrates the Paris Olympic Games with Gold Foil Burritos and Athlete Partnerships

Chipotle is bringing back its gold foil-wrapped burritos to celebrate the Olympic Games, starting July 25. The chain will also offer the favorite menu items of some top US Olympians, including:

  • The Anthony Edwards Bowl (Minnesota Timberwolves guard): half chicken, half steak, brown rice, fresh tomato salsa, roasted chili-corn salsa, and lettuce.
  • The Jagger Eaton Burrito (skateboarder): chicken, white rice, black beans, tomatillo red-chili salsa, roasted chili-corn salsa, cheese, guacamole, and lettuce.
  • The Taylor Fritz Bowl (men's tennis player): double chicken, white rice, sour cream, cheese, and guacamole.
  • The Sara Hughes Burrito (beach volleyball player): double steak, white rice, black beans, cheese, and lettuce.
  • The Sophia Smith Burrito (USWNT soccer star): chicken, brown rice, light black beans, light pinto beans, fresh tomato salsa, sour cream, cheese, and all salsa except for corn.

As part of the promotion, Chipotle has partnered with these athletes and will feature their behind-the-scenes training videos on Instagram under the theme of "Unwrapped."

The limited-time gold foil burritos will be available for ordering in restaurants or online from participating Chipotle locations in the US and its seven restaurants in France.
