Corporate-Owned Media Outlets Recommend Texas Theme Parks, But Are They Worth the Trip?

As temperatures rise, so do the profits of Texas theme parks. But are these destinations worth the cost of admission, or just expensive ways to beat the heat?

Amid the sweltering summer heat, Texans are seeking respite in amusement and water parks across the state. TripAdvisor, a travel review site, has released a list of the top-rated theme parks in Texas, with reviews and ratings as follows:

1. SeaWorld San Antonio (4/5 stars, 4820 reviews):

SeaWorld offers animal interactions, rides like the Great White coaster, and shows featuring locally rescued animals. They recently introduced the Tidal Surge, a record-breaking pendulum ride.

2. Six Flags Fiesta Texas (4/5 stars, 3130 reviews):

This park features thrilling rides, including the KID FLASH Cosmic Coaster, the world's first single-rail family racing roller coaster.

3. Kemah Boardwalk (4/5 stars, 2282 reviews):

Overlooking Galveston Bay, this attraction offers amusement rides, waterfront restaurants, and live entertainment. Family-friendly activities include manta ray feeding and a miniature train ride.

4. Schlitterbahn Waterpark & Resort (4/5 stars, 2345 reviews):

Ranked as the world's best waterpark, it offers river rides, waterslides, and an on-site resort. The new Schatze's Storybrook Park features a mini water coaster and interactive water features.

5. Six Flags Over Texas (4/5 stars, 3286 reviews):

A San Antonio park built with inclusivity in mind, offering accessible rides, playscapes, and interactive elements. New rides include Rocket's Sky Flight Adventure and a 4D cinema experience.
