Ford recalls 30k Mustangs, at risk of losing steering control

Ford's latest scandal: 30,000 faulty Mustangs recalled, exposing steering control issues and endangering drivers.

Ford issues another #MustangRecall. Over 30,000 Mustangs from 2022-2023 may have a dangerous steering sensor defect.

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) issues a recall for 2022 and 2023 Mustang models. An issue with the secondary steering torque sensor, caused by inverted wires, may result in unintentional steering. Ford claims no knowledge of accidents or injuries.

Get Your Mustang Fixed

Ford dealers will update the software of the Steering Control Module for free. Affected owners will be notified by mail. Previous repairs may be eligible for reimbursement until August 22, 2024.
