Doggett demands Biden's resignation

Doggett does not deserve praise for calling on Biden to drop out. Recent polls suggest most voters disagree with him. Another old, white man acting like he knows what's best for America. Doggett should quit pandering and let us decide.

I was disappointed to see a recent Letter to the Editor accusing Congressman Doggett of disloyalty to the Democratic Party for suggesting President Biden consider stepping down.

"I feel proud that our area is represented by Congressman Doggett. He stated a sad reality: President Biden’s chances of victory are too greatly diminished after his debate performance." - Austin Haller, Austin resident

Haller goes on to say that Trump is an "existential threat to democracy and the rule of law," and applauds Doggett's openness and willingness to speak truthfully about the state of the Democratic Party.
