Hurricane Beryl Hits Texas, Causing Flooding and Power Outages

Over 1 million Texans lost power as Hurricane Beryl made landfall, with CenterPoint Energy in Houston reporting widespread outages. Street closures and flood warnings were issued along the Texas coast, with Houston taking the brunt of the impact.

"[Beryl] is anticipated to weaken to a tropical storm by Monday and further downgrade to a tropical depression by Tuesday." - The National Weather Service
