Navy Veteran and Pflugerville Athletic Legend Wilburn Eugene Mott Passes Away at 75

Mott, a 1967 graduate of Pflugerville High, excelled in sports, claiming the gold in shot put at the state level. Post-graduation, he served in the U.S. Navy during Vietnam.

"He was proud of his service to his country and loved spending time with family and friends, often reminiscing about his youth in Pflugerville," his obituary reads.

Mott's hobbies included curating an electric train collection and attending Texas high school sports events. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, their children, four granddaughters, siblings, and extended family.
