AT&T says hackers stole data from "nearly all" cellular customers between May and October 2022. The company announced Friday that it was informed in April that customer data had been illegally downloaded from a third-party cloud platform. The data includes call and text records, but AT&T says no personal information, such as Social Security numbers or dates of birth, was exposed.

"The compromised data includes files containing AT&T records of calls and texts of nearly all of AT&T's cellular customers...between May 1, 2022 - October 31, 2022."

The company serves 110 million wireless subscribers and said international calls were not included, except for calls to Canada. AT&T is working with law enforcement to apprehend those responsible; at least one person has been arrested. Affected customers will be notified, and they can also log into their accounts to check if their data was breached.
