Woman Arrested for Shooting City Employee in Skate Park Bathroom

A woman was arrested Friday for allegedly shooting a city employee in a skate park bathroom in Leander, Texas.

Leander Police Department release:

"[The victim], a 31-year-old female, was cleaning in the area and entered the park bathroom near the disc golf course when she encountered [the suspect], 32-year-old Hannah Morgan-Barber...[Morgan-Barber] shot [the victim] once and fled the scene."

The victim was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Police located Morgan-Barber a short time later, approximately 3 miles away from the park, and took her into custody. She was found in possession of a pistol and has been charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

The Leander PD stated that the investigation is ongoing and no further information will be released at this time.
