Woman Arrested for Shooting City Employee in Skate Park Bathroom

A woman was arrested Friday for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon after shooting a city employee in Leander, Texas.

At approximately 6:45 a.m., Leander PD responded to reports of a woman with a gunshot wound at the Benbrook Ranch Skate Park. The victim, a 31-year-old city employee, was cleaning the area and entered the park bathroom, where she encountered the suspect, 32-year-old Hannah Morgan-Barber. Morgan-Barber shot the employee once and fled the scene. The victim's injury was non-life-threatening, and she was transported to a nearby hospital.

During her arrest in the 14000 block of Hero Way, Morgan-Barber was in possession of a pistol, which was seized by police. She was then transferred to Williamson County Jail.

The Leander PD has stated that the investigation is ongoing, and no further information will be released at this time.
