Connecticut State Police Respond to Untimely Death Investigation

A woman who pleaded guilty to manslaughter and larceny in the death of her husband, Dr. Pierluigi Bigazzi, was found dead in her Connecticut home, hours before her sentencing.

  • Connecticut State Police released a statement saying Linda Kosuda-Bigazzi, 76, was found unresponsive and pronounced dead soon after, on Wednesday.

  • Kosuda-Bigazzi pleaded guilty to killing her 84-year-old husband in 2017, hiding his body in their basement until her arrest in 2018.

  • She also pleaded guilty to first-degree larceny, as she collected her husband's paychecks after his death.

Case Details:

Kosuda-Bigazzi wrote in a journal that she killed her husband with a hammer in self-defense during a fight. She faced charges after a six-year battle, choosing to plead guilty to reduced charges as she "wanted the book closed on her case," according to her attorney.
