Kamala Harris enters the presidential race, but who will be her VP? A Texas Democrat could be a strategic choice to win over undecided voters and challenge Republican dominance in the state.

Kamala Harris Becomes Presumptive Democratic Nominee:

As Biden's VP, Harris is the likely nominee, with Texas' support & over $81M raised in 24hrs. Now, she must choose her running mate.

Via x.com , President Joe Biden endorsed Kamala Harris, paving the way for her to become the Democratic nominee. With additional endorsements, Harris has secured enough votes, exceeding the required 1,976 delegates out of 3,936.

Texas Democrats' support solidifies Harris' lead, with their chair, Gilbert Hinojosa, stating:

“With her extensive experience, dedication to public service, and proven leadership, we believe Kamala Harris is uniquely qualified to defeat Donald Trump and lead our nation... championing the values and ideals that unite us as a country."

Now, Harris must choose her running mate, with speculation including Beto O'Rourke, Julián Castro, and Joaquin Castro.

  • Beto O'Rourke, a former U.S. Rep, recently celebrated Harris on X. He founded Powered by People, a grassroots org for voter engagement.
  • Julián Castro, the youngest member of Obama's cabinet, served as HUD Secretary. His twin, Joaquin, also a possible pick, serves on key House committees. Both expressed X support for Harris.
