Dollywood Flooded, Serves as Warning

A sudden thunderstorm hit Dollywood, causing flash floods and minor injuries. Guests were ushered out by staff with the help of Pigeon Forge fire and police departments. The park is set to reopen at noon today - check their social media for updates.


Dolly Parton's themed attraction in Pigeon Forge, TN, was battered by torrential rain, as shown in social media posts from concerned guests. Videos and images posted online show guests wading through ankle-deep water in parking areas, while cars struggled with rising floodwaters.

The storm caused minor injuries, with one person requiring assistance. The extent of the flooding is evident in guest-posted images and videos showing waist-deep water, highlighting the severity of the situation.

Reports indicate upwards of 4.5 inches of rain hit the area, per the National Weather Service, which issued a flash flood warning for Sevier County on Sunday evening. The park is set to reopen today, but guests are urged to monitor their social media for the latest info.
