Meteor showers fill night sky

Two meteor showers, the Delta Aquarids and Alpha Capricornids, will peak and almost cross paths for a spectacular show between July 29-30.

Two meteor showers will peak tue nite (July 29-30) according to the American Meteor Society. Best viewed from the Southern Hemisphere/southern latitudes of the Northern Hemisphere.

Viewing tips:

  • After midnight
  • Best observed from the southern tropics
  • Look south/southwest if the moon is above the horizon
  • Medium-speed meteors w/ some bright fireballs
