Austin and Hailey Bode's wedding photos have an unexpected guest: a tornado funnel. The couple, married in Norfolk, Nebraska on July 20, coincidentally the same weekend disaster movie "Twisters" premiered, knew of forecast storms, but only experienced rain—often a lucky omen on a wedding day. Post-ceremony, the bridal party headed downtown for photos where a groomsman spotted the funnel cloud. Photographer Alyssa Wallace's first instinct? Stop the trolley and snap away!

"I said, 'hurry up, we have to get this photo!' I got them just in time." – Alyssa Wallace, photographer

Wallace called the photo of the couple, unperturbed by the chaos, a "symbol of their love." Luckily, the storm didn't disrupt the big day. The funnel was far off, no sirens sounded, and it was "pretty quiet." In fact, some later said they hadn't even noticed the twister. The National Weather Service noted several funnel cloud reports that day, but none touched down. Nonetheless, Wallace's pics went viral. For her, it was a dream come true: "Ever since I was a little girl I was always in love with tornadoes."
